Troubleshooting Fusible Applique #madewithFlexiFuse

Fusible appliqué is a game-changer, but sometimes things don’t go as smoothly as we'd like. Here are some quick troubleshooting tips to keep your projects on track!

🔥 Pieces shifting while ironing?

Use a pin or metal-tipped tweezers to gently nudge them into place. Just be careful not to pierce the fabric!

👀 Having trouble seeing the edges while stitching?

Swap out your presser foot for a wide foot or clear foot, and consider using a double-hole plate for better visibility.

🧩 Losing track of your layers?

Try pre-building sections on a Teflon mat before placing them on your fabric. Just be sure to watch those piece numbers!

😱 Stuck a piece to your iron?

If you catch it early, gently peel it off, making sure the fusible comes with it. If it leaves residue behind, clean your iron before continuing—we love Iron-Off from Dritz for this! You can also turn the iron off, wait for it to completely cool down, and that piece should peel right off!

Appliqué doesn’t have to be tricky—just a few small adjustments can make all the difference. And our laser-cut kits make it even EASIER. Happy stitching!
